USC lands Georgia transfer DL Bear Alexander

On Sunday night, Alexander revealed his transfer from the two-time national champion Bulldogs to Lincoln Riley's Trojans.

The transfer portal's top player was the 300-pound lineman.

Last season, Alexander played on Georgia's line and had nine tackles and two sacks,

including one in the Bulldogs' national championship win against TCU at SoFi Stadium, many miles south of USC.

This month, Alexander visited USC and agreed to join Riley's rebuilding mission at the West Coast's top football team.

Caleb Williams won the Heisman Trophy in Riley's first year as Trojans coach, but USC missed the College Football Playoff.

USC's defense underperformed against top teams last season,

so Riley has started overhauling his defensive squad through the transfer portal.

The Trojans' line now includes Alexander, Purdue transfer Jack Sullivan, Texas A&M transfer Anthony Lucas,

Arizona transfer Kyon Barrs, Oklahoma State transfer Mason Cobb, and Georgia State transfer Jamal Muhammad.
